You can say the Dead Moon Circus is a real circus. But it formally goes about Queen Nehrenia wanting to stay young. The whole plot goes about searching for one guy, or actually a horse, Pegasus. Pegasus is in fact Helios, but what matters is the Golden Crystal he posesses. It can keep Queen Neherenia young and beautiful, just as she wants. And at the same time rule over the universe. The goal is to find him, and live forever, for Neherenia.





Queen Neherenia

Queen Neherenia is of course the leader of the DeadMoonCircus. She mostly appears in mirrors throughout the series, and her main goal was to find the Golden Crystal, mostly because of her jealousy in the Silver Millenium, since she only ruled over a Dark Planet. Neherenia stayed young because she had sold her soul by something evil in her Dream Mirror and stays young by eating dreams, and those people whose dreams were gone, became a part of the Circus. When the Dead Moon Circus was defeaten, she sealed herself in mirrors and escaped to stay young and beautiful forever.
But not only did she appeared in Sailor Moon S, but also in Sailor Stars. There she'd been awaken by an unknown voice and it told her she was tricked by Sailor Moon. She started to appear in mirrors on Earth and summoned monsters. Eventually she trapped Mamoru, and the Senshi followed him. Neherenia caught all of the Senshi, except for Usagi, who 'freed' Neherenia and turned out everything the way it was by returning her kingdom. Galaxia was the one who had awaken her, so SailorSaturn also would be awaken for the Star Seeds.
Neherenia was also the sister of Queen Serenity, what made her Usagi's aunt. You can see it by her three crescent moons on her forehead and her earrings. Also has she the famous 'odango' (meatball) style in her hair.

Zirconia was under lead of Neherenia in the human world. She passed around orders to the Quartet or the Trio to find Pegasus. She had an eyethinglike with wings named Zircon. It usually came with the next victim of the Circus and usually sat on Zirconia's staff. Zirconia ordered the Quartet to kill the Trio, but they failed. She also quarreled with VesVes of the Amazoness Quartet, and betrayed them all in her fight against the Senshi. She took all the energy from the Quartet's balls, but Mercury found out where it came from and the Quartet destroyed their own balls after they believed their dreams will not disappear. Queen Neherenia destroyed her because of her failures.

The Amazon Trio are three guys, Tigers Eye, Fish Eye and Hawks Eye. How ever, the last called one is more a girl, because he likes it to dresses up as a girl. That makes Tigers Eye and Hawks Eye thinks it is revolting that Fish Eye acts like that. But most of the time when they are off 'duty' they hang out in a bar where they tell each other about the people they liked, because they all have their own taste. They are ordered to find Pegasus in people's dreams. If he wasn't in their dreams (what always happened), they would call upon a Monster of the Day and kill that person, to prevent Pegasus would return their someday.


Tigers Eye
Like every amazon guy Tigers Eye has his own taste. He is very attracted to every young beautiful woman, what means every Sailor Scout, and took their Dream Mirrors. His Monsters of the Days were always young girls. Later, when Fish Eye convinces him to save Super Sailor Moon and sacrifice their lives, he turns back into his other form, a tiger.

Fish Eye
Fish Eye, not the same as the other guys like guys himself and that's why the other two deteste him for that. Although, they are very good friends. He once fell in love with Mamoru and tried to get him, but failed many times. Fish Eye's monsters were always guys. He hates cats because of his 'fishy' smells. Near the end, he told Zirconia what they're doing was wrong, but Fish Eye got blasted away. When saving Super Sailor Moon, he turns into his true form, a fish.

Hawks Eye
He especially like middle-aged women, included Ikuko. He once was very competitive with Hawks Eye because they both liked Mina. His Monsters were always old woman. He was killed by one of the Amazoness Quartet's monsters. Hawks Eye turned into his true form after the other two were killed, into a hawk.

The Amazoness Quartet are four girls, under controle of Zirconia. They do the filty jobs for Zirconia and were ordered to kill the Trio. This differs (again) a lot from the manga, since they died in the anime, but stayed alive in the manga and turned into the protectors of Sailor Chibi. The Amazoness Quartet also look very young, but are in fact very old, unknown why.


Bess-Bess
Bess-Bess is the leader of the Amazoness Quartet. She is the equivelement to Sailor Mars. She has a red orb, in her own color like every other Amazoness. Bess-Bess uses whips as a weapon and calls up monsters from her own shadows. In the manga she becomes Sailor Vesta.

Jun-Jun
Jun-Jun was the equivelement to Sailor Jupiter. She has a green orb. Her personality doesn't differ a lot from Jupiter. Just like her, Jun-Jun is the strongest one (physically) and was very agressive and a real fighter. She also is a very sarcastic lady. In the manga she becomes Sailor Juno.

Sere-Sere
Sere-Sere was the equivelement of Sailor Venus. She has a yellow orb. Not very unlike Venus, she is the most romantic one of the group. She also can be very calm, and when the time comes up with making choices without knowing what to do, she picks petals of a flower and the last one would decide what she would do. In the manga she becomes Sailor Ceres.

Palla-Palla
She is the equivelement to Sailor Mercury. Her orb is blue. She is the most babyish one and always talk about herself in third person (a sorta Cesar...). In the manga she becomes Sailor Pallas.
